A Night to Remember

The moon was in full form that night. It looked so calming, so splendid, so complete. Its bright light shone the night of 12 December like no other night in the month, accompanied greatly by the stars. Yet, not just an ordinary stars or constellations but by us, Starianz.

The night was when a farewell party took place, and we cried and laugh, but in the end, it was simply just a night to remember.

The evening started rushing. It was 2 or 3 hours before the party started but we still have many things to get done with. The food especially, and the drinks, the BBQ set, the setting, the goody bags, the speech. Haha. Almost everyone were running and shouting here and there. And each shouts always starts with "Aparna!!!". Boy, is she not tensed up. Lol. But fortunately, we got everything done in time and thanks to EVERY single person who showed up that day.

The venue was held at both Aparna's house's porch and a field opposite her house.
After we got everything settled at the porch, we cleaned the basketball court and lay some mats, for sitting down later; where the introduction and emo talks session were held. People might have mistaken us as weirdos or some too-free students when they saw us sweeping the basketball court. But aren't we? =p Just kidding..

Throughout the evening, we kept calling Chia Hui and some others who haven't show up and made sure when are they arriving and what are they bringing. And we called Sir Shreenath if he could make it that night. As busy as he is, he still made it to the party! Everyone were like, "woohoooo!!! YAY!!!!".

Loudspeakers were on when we called Sir. And everybody talked and were noisy. We didn't hear Sir well but we did. Haha.

So, we were setting up and getting everything ready.

The Form 2 juniors whom dubbed as BLURS, prepared a performance for the Form 4 and Form 5 seniors. The Form 3 AJK whom dubbed as SUAKUS, did too. Both were about imitating the seniors. Performancer imitates, seniors guess.

Here are some pictures of us preparing in the evening.

frying french fries.

Before that we were frying mihun. We used whatever they had in the house and since there wasn't much that we could use, we did anyway.. And we're not surprised the mihun tasted... let's just say different. We ter-put extra soya sauce and we,smartly, put some tomato ketchup. HAHA!! But don't worry, it is definitely safe to be eaten. Finger-crossed! =p

ehem ehem.

(This is Amanda and Stefeny's sister, Pei Ven if I'm not mistaken. She had to be brought there because she would be alone at her home if they didn't. And she sure is friendly ;p)

She doesn't look like she's preparing huh? Haha. Joking..

Setting up the BBQ set.

Chasing away the flies. As if there were any though. Haha. And the food were all closed. Some of them thought the foiled corns were already cooked. They didn't know actually they have to barbeque them themselves. We thought it would be much more fun if they BBQ themselves. Whoopsy! Lol.

What is she trying to do?!

*****

Then, the party started.

While waiting for the so-called VIPs(FREKOS & LAMOS), we started BBQing.

The goody bags were signed and hand-made by all(or some) of us. =p

So, the 'VIPs' arrived. FREKOS brought jelly and as surprising as it is, the LAMOS brought a gift for us. It was a large frame with tonnes of our pictures in it. And everyone went like, "AWWWWWW" "oh who is that..OH!!" "that's me, that's me" "Eh, where's my picture!!!"
When they arrived, we were like who are you? you're not invitedlah! and then they all said "finelah we go to other place!!" Hahahaha.

Then, we all moved to the field and sat in a circle and get ready for introduction.
As Stefeny and Mei Xin as the emcee, they presented the president, Siti Sarah, for her speech. She thanked us all as well as the seniors for making the party to happen. And she inserted all the seniors' names who attended that night and with each name, was their identity. Funny identity.

Candles were lit, making the circle brighter.
After some photo sessions, it was eating time!!!YAY!!

The candles does look voodoo-ish, doesn't it?

Amanda went like, "Omg, who took that picture?! I wasn't even ready!"

And then the big surprise(for most of the seniors) showed up. Yup, Sir. We all asked them to go inside and when Sir gets closer to the house, "SURPRISE!!!!"(to the seniors). And all went like..
"WOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!" *claps*

So, we all greeted Sir and introduce ourselves even though he already knew some of us. We offered him some food almost all ate in a circle, at the porch itself.

Yummy! We had sosejes(however it is spelled), mihun of course, BBQed corn, jelly, snacks, scramble egg and chicken. That's all I can remember..Hehe

That is Sarah trying NOT to laugh because her mouth was full.
Pity her. =p

Lol.
Then, SUAKUS were called into the house.
We were getting ready for a surprise. A surprise specially for Neesha, one of the Form2s.
The whole day she didn't know that we already prepared a cake for her. Or did she?
Haha. No wonder she was like crazy the whole day and ran to almost everyone, I guess she was expecting something or a question. Hah! Too bad we didn't fall for it! LOL

So, we switched off the lights and walked out of the house, singing a birthday song to her. She tried running away when she saw us. Don't know why. C'moh lah..We don't lauk people..

Wow! She's so young! Just one year old only!!! XD
Make a wish!

Feeding Sir some cake.

Then we all went back to the field. Some of us ran first to the field and lit the candles. And Rou Zyn(F3) was suddenly screaming. Want to know why? Because she touched a hot wax! Gosh..

Hey, Aparna.
She and I were like taking a few pictures of each other. I declare it a war!!! LOL. Kidding..

Justin played his guitar for a while and we sang along.

Back to the emcee..(and Stefeny's sis)

It was supposed the public canning session but we were told that Sir had to leave soon. So, we skipped to the performances. The Imitation Game. The Form 3s started by imitating the FREKOS (Kelvin, Hong Seng, Sarah, Amanda, Wei Teng) and then followed by the BLURS imitating the LAMOS (Justin,Katrina, Jason, Elaina, Suey Erz, Sim Yee, Michelle, Qing Yong, Beng Wee). But sad, some of them couldn't make it. Well, we will still remember them doesn't matter if they made it or not.

So, how does this imitation game works? Well, imitators will say a word and do a pose as a clue.
Long short and summarized, this is what said during the game.

Rou Zyn as Amanda : "WhAtEvERrR!!"
Aparna as Kelvin : "I'm assless!!!"
Mei Xin as Hong Seng : "I'm short and got a lot of hair!"
Wei Tse as Wei Teng : "So short edi still want to act tall!!"(she likes to bomb Hong Seng)
Chia Hui as Sarah Ng: "I eat a lot and I laugh like this.. HAHAHAH!!!!

The Form 2 juniors imitation were more like a sketch with a speech. So, every imitation involved them all. It's a very fun thing. They get to be sarcastic and make fun about it. Haha.
And of course, the seniors themselves imitated each other and all of us had bursting laughs throuhout the imitating session. LOL. Better part of it was, the seniors imitated Sir too!
"Cantik macam bunga!!!"

Then, was the top of the night. The Emo session. Joey and Tsiu Whay started the session. And the seniors started crying already. Not to forget, Katrina, our emo queen was crying the hardest. And longest..

FREKOS & LAMOS, we thank you all for existing in our life. We thank you for leading us, traning us and make us what we are now. Thanks for creating memories with us, thanks for laughing and crying with us. Thanks for listening to us. Thanks for every single thing you sacrificed for us. Thanks for making our life meaningful and better.
Thank you for every single thing.

After that, Mei Xin read a letter from Katrina to SUAKUS. The letter was typed but who cares.
She said she didn't know how to say it so she typed it. But she still typed that she couldn't say what she wanted to say. But I bet whatever she managed to type in the letter and what she has in heart is far more meaningful.

And Amanda gave a speech too, representing the FREKOS.
She thanked us all for the night. I remember she saying that it wasn't the LAMOS fault the year went wrong.
She said "It takes time for a legacy to continue."
She gave many advises for us to hold on to when we took over the board.
I know she was right. She is right. I bet LAMOS had try the best of best for the year, but time does it all.

Sir gave a speech too...
I remember he talking about how great we are..
how we could make it through the year with so so many challenges.
how jason almost got the lelaki terbaik in belia..
How he put his words "We have to sacrifice a Star for another Star".
I remember how he complimented each of us..
how he said that he wondered where did we get all those commitments and tears just for the sake of BSM, making it part of our life.

I remember
him highlighting the fact that everything started from the FREKOS..not the ones before them..How he praised the LAMOS because they could maintain it at the top..
How he told us, SUAKUS, to carry the legacy and keeping it up and carry the hardness of keeping it at the top.
how he feels about feeling attached to us..
And I will always remember how he said the name STAR,
was at the top of his heart....
No matter what..

Seniors, it's a promise we would do our best to keep it at the top and carry the legacy.
But please remember, if we ever screw up, we screw up with spirits. We promise.

So, the night went with all of us expressing out everything, crying..

Sir was right..where else could we find this special feeling? Well, he answer is here, in STAR.

We sang Bukan Bintang Biasa and Gemuruh, cuddling in a circle.
We treasure each moment. In our heart.

Sorry, couldn't see your face, Wei Teng.Camereman's fault.. =(

Kat and Jason did a small speech and guess what.. they cried.
Kat cried even more of course. But Jason did too. At the very night itself.

So, we all talked more and more about lessons.
You see...
It is okay to do a mistake and forget about it, but never ever forget what it has to learn. And never forget those who taught you the lessons.. Indeed, they were great before you did.

Final surprise, a cake for the seniors.

Seniors,

Thank YOU.

Sorry for the blur pictures. And last but not least, We Love You, Seniors. We shall remember the night, forever and ever. Maybe some of us would, due to short-term memory or accidents (haha), but one thing I know for sure is, we will never forget you seniors who taught us the great of greatest, and the best of bestest. We keep you in our heart, now and always...

"Great Sacrifice, Great Victory"
